Hi Heibrie,

You were right! This trip exceeded our expectations! Aside from a couple of minor hiccups which our group experienced at Seasons, the accommodations were spectacular! Everyone we encountered whether staff or locals were exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind. Our drivers (Joseph and James) were wonderful. The weather permitted my sister and I to visit the elephant sanctuary on our own and we loved it. This was a great introduction to the "animal experience" we were about to see at Humala River Lodge. Humala was a paradise!  The resort was just amazing! Yes, it did take a day or so to adjust, slow down and just relax and enjoy, but enjoy we did! Our guides (Wessel and Richard) were just great. They really educated us and helped enhance the experience. The lodge staff were wonderful. Meals were great and aside from very cool mornings, the weather while there was lovely. I don't think we were really prepared for the sheer beauty of watching the animals live freely in their own habitat. We saw just about every animal in the wild except elephants, but we saw plenty of them a few days later while driving through Pilanesberg National Park (which was incredible)! While still at Humala, we dined under the stars and it's the only time I've ever seen the Milky Way!

The rest of the Go Touchdown tour was extremely enjoyable including the Lion Park and National Park. We were also fortunate to have had 6 wonderful people join us on the tour (2 more from Germany a little later). We've already kept in touch, shared photos and started a Facebook page "The South Africa 8".  We never were able to connect with them in Cape Town as their schedule changed a couple of times due to weather. Our visit to Cape Town on our own was a wonderful whirlwind! We covered more ground in 3 days than most do in a week. What a spectacular city! A one of a king place to visit that literally has everything to offer. Natural beauty, great infrastructure, charming neighborhoods, the V and A and wonderful people!

I won't hesitate to share our experience with others and recommend Go Touchdown.

When would be a good time to stop in and share some photos?

Thanks again!

Eddie P.
